School Year: 2025-2026

Lincoln Elementary School: Parent and Family Engagement Policy

Our Commitment to Partnership

At Lincoln Elementary, we believe a strong family-school partnership is essential for student success. This policy, developed jointly with our families as required by Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), outlines our shared commitment to helping every child achieve high standards.

Our Partnership in Action

1. Joint Planning & Improvement This policy is planned and reviewed annually with our families. We welcome your input in the continuous improvement of our schoolwide programs.

2. Annual Title I Meeting We invite all families to an annual meeting to learn about our Title I program, its requirements, and your right to be involved. Flexible meeting times will be offered to accommodate all who wish to attend.

3. School-Parent Compact Together, we will create a compact that outlines our shared responsibilities for student achievement. This compact will be a key part of our annual parent-teacher conferences.

4. Clear & Accessible Communication We are committed to regular, two-way communication. We will provide timely information on curriculum, assessments, and your child's progress in a format and language you can understand. We will also provide opportunities for you to share suggestions and participate in decisions about your child's education.

5. Your Right to Know You have the right to request information on the qualifications of your child's teachers. We will also provide timely notice if your child is assigned a teacher for four or more consecutive weeks who does not meet state certification requirements.

6. Building Skills Together We will provide materials and training for families to support learning at home and understand academic standards. We will also educate our staff on how to work effectively with parents as equal partners.

This policy was developed in accordance with the guidance provided in Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA).
